I wrote a script a while back to automate the process of checking out from CVS 
and building, including specific subdirectories of a module (for example 
kdenonbeta/kmathtool).

Right now you can find it at:

There are also other scripts out there that can build from CVS, including one 
in kdesdk/scripts.
