Problem with Keyboard Layout after upgrade to XFree86-4.4.0

I am running XFree86-4.3.0 (on debian). I have KDE stable compiled from
source, and the keyboard laymout kcm module gives me a HUGE list of keyboard
"models" for the US english layout. I am using the "Dell" (-model dell)
layout with no grief.
