Sorry that I can not seem to relate your toolbar tool tips to the one on my
system:
I have:
[Resume] Yes this is not a good choice of words. "DownLoad" would
probably be better.
[Pause] This is correct.
[Delete] This actually means Abort since it removes the download from the
queue and also deletes the file. Sometimes you need to be able to only
remove the download from the queue without deleting the file. Perhaps that
option would not be used often enough to merit a toolbar icon -- it should
only be on the "Transfer" menu.
[Restart] That is what it says in English and that is what it does.
Restarts the download from 0%
{Queue} This appears to be redundant -- a design error -- I can't see that
it is any different than [Resume].
[Timer] I have no idea what this does. Perhaps it hasn't been implemented
yet. If that is the case, it should always be inactive (grayed out).
[Delay] This also appears to be redundant -- a design error -- I can't see
that it is any different than [Pause].
My configuration has only these two additional toolbar icons:
{Paste] This is correct. If you paste a URL, it starts downloading it.
[Drop Target] Yes this would be better if it said: "Show Drop Target" or
"View Drop Target".
One implicit question is whether a download should queue automatically when
you paste, drag 'n' drop, or click or if it should just be added to the
list awaiting human action. I think that it should be queued
automatically. Perhaps that could be an option in (where else :-)) the
"Options" menu.
The current major issue with KGet is not the interface, it is the fact that
it does not always try to resume a download after the time out. Sometimes
it just quits and you have to select the download in the list and click
[Queue] or [Resume] again.
