Hello,

we are using a CUPS which allows printing only with authentication via
username and password.
With lp (from the cupsys-client package) I can print without any
problems. Even a windows client ca print via ipp without any problem.
But there's a problem with kdeprint. It is asking all the time to put
in my auth credentials. I print something (eg from kate) and it asks
me about my password. After the job was spooled successfully it throws
an error "authentication failed". I put in my password and click ok,
but the error occurs again. I do this 2 oder 3 times then it accepts
my password. The next time I print, it seems to work but then the
error occurs again.

The cupsd-log says the moment the error occurs "no authentication data
provided"

Cupsd is version 1.2.5
kdeprint is version 3.5.5

greetings
Matthias Eller
