Can't print out of some application (cups, network printer)

And what is the error log when you print from cups directly? (because the 
error_log indicates that the good order of filters is applied 
(app->pstops->pstoraster->rastertokm2430dl->printer).

What operating system (distro) is this?

You might want to check that your distro altered mime.types correctly (look at 
the end of this thread):
