This doesn't tell me what CUPS server kdeprint is trying
to reach. Isn't there a "CUPS" section in your kdeprintrc?
Otherwise, use "kaddprinterwizard --kdeconfig" and go the
the CUPS section.

Something I'm not sure is the need (or not) to have a line
for localhost in /etc/hosts. If, for some tricky reason, this
line is missing, would a "connect" call on localhost trigger
a DNS query? But I guess the line is not missing.
