The reasons why I hesitate turning to RH 8.0 manual is as follows:

1) This is a standard RH 8.0 installation.  I expect to find out what is
wrong between software installed, creating conflict among themselves.

2) If start to correct the problem according to the manual, disregarding
whether a solution can be found or not, I never know what is the problem
of standard installation.  I want keeping my OS as it is and get problem
solved, if possible, according to advice from this list.  The manual is
there and won't fly away.
