CUPS printing and faxing problem (resend-2)

There's something wrong here. If lpstat reports that the scheduler
is running, then CUPS is running. However you don't seem to have any
cupsd executable running on localhost. Could it be that CUPS is running
on another computer and that your /etc/cups/client.conf is configured
to access CUPS remotely?

Or this lpstat is the LPR version and this means that CUPS does not
run, but LPRng runs (which is of course wrong)... Please check your
installation.
