CUPS printing and faxing problem

You won't get a response here if you don't use a terminal *program* like 
minicom or similar. This is because you sent a command to the modem but don't 
listen to responses so this information gets lost somewhere.

So, does your fax work if you don't use kdeprint? Can you print? You had a 
printer configured correctly, didn't you? The KDESendFax pseudo printer 
doesn't use CUPS at all.
