Newbie Just Tryin' to Print from KDE

You mean something like this (in messages):

=09Jan 26 11:47:11 Maxine lpd[69998]: lpd startup: logging=3D0

It's the only thing I see dealing with print functionality. That line als=
o=20
shows up in lpd-errors.

The last line of my dmesg.today is this

=09lpt0: switched to polled extended mode

Other lines in dmesg seem to indicate all's well with the OS and printer.=
=2E.
