OK, great.

OK, right. I've downloaded winsteng.exe which is the universtal PS Windows=
=20
driver. Unfortunately, it's so far evading all my attempts to get at its=20
files:

chris@galadriel:~/adobe$ file winsteng.exe
winsteng.exe: MS Windows PE 32-bit Intel 80386 GUI executable not relocatab=
le
chris@galadriel:~/adobe$ cabextract winsteng.exe
Extracting cabinet: winsteng.exe
winsteng.exe: not a Microsoft cabinet file
chris@galadriel:~/adobe$ unzip -L winsteng.exe
Archive: winsteng.exe
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of winsteng.exe or
winsteng.exe.zip, and cannot find winsteng.exe.ZIP, period.

Good idea.

Yes, that sounds useful. I think CUPS 1.1.16 is the earliest version that=
=20
supports this, though my server is running CUPS 1.1.15 and hpijs 1.3 on=20
=46reeBSD -- I don't particularly want to compile cups and samba from sourc=
e=20
though on FreeBSD yet since I'm still learning how it works, so I'm stuck=20
with 1.1.15 for the moment unfortunately ;)

Hrm, maybe it would be more successful if we actually knew the name of=20
somebody sympathetic to Freehan Software inside the company, who could get=
=20
the necessary authorisation.
