There are two possibilities to get access to all available printers and
all options of the printer driver independent on which printer driver is
used.

One possibility is using spadmin to set up a generic PostScript printer
and then use "kprinter --stdin" as printing command (the default is
"lpr"). Now kprinter will pop up when you print out of Star
Office/OpenOffice.org. Choose the printer and the option settings in
kprinter, not in the printing dialog of Star Office/OpenOffice.org.

The other possibility is getting access to all printers and options from
within the original dialog of Star Office or OpenOffice.org. For this
your queues must be either CUPS queues to PostScript printers which use
a PPD file or queues set up with Foomatic from linuxprinting.org. It
should also work with queues with native CUPS drivers as for example
GIMP-Print.

Follow the instructions in the Star Office/OpenOffice.org sections on

http://www.linuxprinting.org/ppd-doc.html

if your print queue is set up with Foomatic 2.0.x. If your queue is set
up with Foomatic 3.0.x (with foomatic-rip), with a PostScript PPD file,
or with a native CUPS driver, follow the instructions here:

http://www.linuxprinting.org/foomatic2.9/ppd-doc.html

Note: Mandrake Linux 9.1 has a patched version of OpenOffice.org. This
version automatically finds CUPS queues and their PPD files. You can
simply use the original printing dialog there.

Boa sorte.
