landscape printing

Can you get other apps to print landscape? Can you print text files in

These facts should be "proof" enough to conclude that it is nothing
to do with KDEPrint.

Please don't forget to name the CUPS version you're using (it is the
most important component in the game -- koffice version here isn't
*that* important...).

There was a CUPS bug with landscape printing recently, but you can't
be helped with a more precise answer as you don't reveal your CUPS
version to us.

Also, there were several bugs in the Gentoo build system, which
effectively prevented printing to non-PostScript printers too.
