I suggest that you increase the debug level in cupsd.conf, restart
CUPS server, and monitor the log file /var/log/cups/error_log when
trying to print something. This might help, as for now I don't
see the reason. CUPS is using smbspool with apparently exactly the
same URI as the one you used on the command line.
