kcalcore / libical 2.0 why ?

Was it really neccessary to bump the required version of libical to 2.0 ?

The commit 097f1c0aaa in kcalcore simply says: "increase version"
and nothing else was changed.
Why ?

(openSuse Leap 42.3 does not provide libical 2.0)
