Thanks for this hint.
Still it fails. Seems there is some link library missing:

cd /home/KDE5/source/build/kde/pim/libgravatar/tests && /usr/bin/cmake -E cmake_link_script CMakeFiles/gravatarwidget_gui.dir/link.txt --verbose=1
/usr/bin/c++   -pipe -std=c++0x -fno-exceptions -Wall -Wextra -Wcast-align -Wchar-subscripts -Wformat-security -Wno-long-long -Wpointer-arith -Wundef -Wnon-virtual-dtor -Woverloaded-virtual -Werror=return-type -pedantic  -Wl,--enable-new-dtags  CMakeFiles/gravatarwidget_gui.dir/gravatarwidget_gui.cpp.o CMakeFiles/gravatarwidget_gui.dir/gravatarwidget_gui_automoc.cpp.o  -o gravatarwidget_gui -rdynamic ../src/libKF5Gravatar.so.5.1.42 /usr/lib64/libKF5I18n.so.5.17.0 /usr/lib64/libQt5Widgets.so.5.5.1 /usr/lib64/libKF5CoreAddons.so.5.17.0 /usr/lib64/libQt5Gui.so.5.5.1 /usr/lib64/libQt5Core.so.5.5.1 -Wl,-rpath,/home/KDE5/source/build/kde/pim/libgravatar/src
/home/KDE5/lib64/libKF5Libkdepim.so.5: undefined reference to `Akonadi::Item::isValid() const'
/home/KDE5/lib64/libKF5PimCommon.so.5: undefined reference to `Akonadi::Item::hasAttribute(QByteArray const&) const'
