To ensure a really clean start I (used to) set up a fresh user account.
I suggest to try this as well. Maybe you've missed a file that Akonadi
reads so that Akonadi makes wrong assumptions about your 'test' user's
setup.

This message
Akonadi(7770)/() unknown: Invalid database object during
database server startup
could indicate that mysql found the remains of a previous database in
your 'test' user's account.

For reference I've attached the console output from 'akonadictl start'
for a freshly created user account on my system using

# akonadictl --version
Akonadi 1.13.0

# kde4-config --version
Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.9
kde4-config: 1.0

Regards,
Ingo
