[Kde-pim] kmail: unable to delete IMAP mails on certain accounts

Dear kdepim hackers,

first of all, I'm addicted to your project, and mostly loving it.
Using it seriously in private and commercial setting since Kmail 2.0!

And now for the bad news:
With openSUSE 13.2 on local server (cyrus-imapd) and client and kmail 4.14.
{5,6,8,9}, I cannot delete mails on certain IMAP accounts.

Hitting <Delete> results in the mail disappearing, a copy is created in the
trash folder, and then kmail refetches the source folder completely, due to:

akonadi_imap_resource_1(11917) RetrieveItemsTask::onFinalSelectDone: Detected
inconsistency in local cache, we're missing some messages. Server: 13722
Local:  13721
akonadi_imap_resource_1(11917) RetrieveItemsTask::onFinalSelectDone:
Refetching complete mailbox.

After refetching, the mail appears again in the source folder (disabled).
After clicking on the open letter symbol, the mail can be opened again.
The same happens, if I hit <shift><delete> apart from the trash folder copy.

I've tried everything serveral times, one would usually do with such issues:
 * restarting akonadi correctly (that is akonadictl stop, wait for all
   processes  finishing, akonadictl start
 * removing the akonadi cache with akonadiconsole
 * rebuilding the akonadi database from scratch (¹)
 * reconstructing the mailboxes on the cyrus server (reconstruct -GR ...)

¹) this is a major annoyance, if you have to handle multiple accounts with
   multiple identities due to the numeric references of the special folders,
   that changes every time on rebuild (Drafts, Fcc, Templates in
   $KDEHOME/share/config/emailidentities and TrashCollection in
   $KDEHOME/share/config/akonadi_imap_resource_*rc)

I even rebuilt 4.14.9 on openSUSE build service for 13.2:
https://build.opensuse.org/project/monitor/home:frispete:branches:KDE:Distro:Factory
but none of my attempts were successful.

The akonadi DB is living on a local SSD in a otherwise idle XFS filesystem.

Before I create a report on bugs.kde.org, I would like to kindly ask, if this
problem is known to anybody in the audience.

Thanks for reading,
Pete
