[Kde-pim] akonadi + remote single file resource

Hi,

trying to understand the concepts behind the "single file resource" code:

There is SingleFileResourceBase::reloadFile() which mainly does
writeFile(); readFile();

How could this ever work with remote files ?

readFile() downloads a copy into a cache dir, but in reloadFile(), the cache is
uploaded before the readFile() is downloading the same file again ???
(and with the upload overwriting the changed remote file!!)

Beside this, there is another problem this does not work:
writeFile() is asynchronous - it starts only the upload job,
but readFile() checks if there is still an upload in progress
and of course fails.

Is Bertjan still around ?
It seems this is his code
