I agree with Martin here, if we can get rid of this code, I'm all for it. (I 
wrote much of its current version, and it seems, twitter changes API faster 
than one can keep up with coding. That's possibly a policy or at least we-
really-don't-care-about 3rd party clients thing, I've given up on trying to 
keep up with the whims of Twitter.

Andrea Scarpino has been working on pump.io support for Choqok, maybe that's 
reusable? Maybe Choqok could even be made to use Akonadi?
