[Kde-pim] Akregator sync

Hello world,

I would like to get involved in KDE development and I'm thinking of a little project that can improve akregator but I have a few questions, too se if it's worth doing. I would like to make a sync function for it, so that the read/unread feeds are synked between computers, but this requires a server. 

I could make a small application and each user can deploy its own server, but is there another way this could be achived? I mean server wise?

Please advise.
