I’ve run “grep "[rR]ich [tT]ext" * -R” and “grep "[fF]ormatted [tT]ext" * -R” in the
trunk translation templates directory (before the 4.11 branch change), and I find
occurrences of both.
I don’t think “Formatted Text” is more confusing than “Rich Text”, but I don’t
think “Rich Text” will be confusing either, and there seems to be more instances
of the latter (maybe because some of them refer to the RTF format).
Anyway, whatever you decide, please consider using the same term all over KDE,
we should take this chance to ensure consistency in KDE applications that refer
to this concept of “non-plain text”.
