Since we all know the difference, we are really talking about
non-geeky users. I'm sorry, but to me, "formatted text" would be far
more confusing to them than "rich text", which they will have met
elsewhere. It may well be desirable to add the "(HTML)" from the
developer point of view, but I doubt it from the PoV of ordinary users.
