[Kde-pim] switching distributions, but keeping KDE... how do i migrate my email?

There's nothing you have to do. If you have a separate home (and you should) 
a smart distro will recognize it during installation, just overwrite your 
root partition with the new distro and you will barely notice you switched 
from one distro to another. I had a completely smooth experience going from 
Arch Linux to openSUSE. Granted, oS is of course quite smart with this stuff 
and you will probably need to do custom partitioning magic in most other 
distro's but it's not a problem for KMail that you run another distro for 
sure.
