Thank you. Since I don't use Kmail, this wasn't somewhere I would have
encountered.
This procedure actually matches my guess as to what I should do, but since my
guesses about akonadi in the past have turned out to cause me more trouble
than not, I wanted to hear it from someone authoritative :-)
Now back to my problem of trying to figure out how to find all my lost
contacts :-(
