It is part of the kdepim repository, see
https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/kdepim/repository

You can just copy the git command from there and paste into a shell.

We don't have a fixed assignment yet because we don't know yet, how many PIM 
proposals we will have to handle and how we will distribute them among the 
available mentors.

However, independent of who will eventually mentor you on this project, the 
person who came up with the idea and therefore is probably best to answer 
questions regarding it would be Allen.

Allen, can you give us some input on the questions below?
