I don't know whether it disappeared. I just want to make sure that it 
doesn't disappear in the future just to stay compatible with 
Outlook/Exchange.

I checked. When deleting or moving an instance of a recurring event then 
KOrganizer 4.4 asks whether this change shall be applied to this item, 
also all future items, or all items.
