virtuoso_t is problematic that way too I believe.

I have an kontact/akonadi install (4.9.4) that is stable at the moment,
*except* after I logon - it hammers the CPU, all 4 cores for 10-15 mins. I
have no idea what its doing. Its actually a problem for me at the moment in
the sweltering Brisbane weather as the CPU overheats badly, I actually had
a failure because of that recently. Fortunately it doesn't come up to often
as I habitually hibernate rather than shut-down.

If I was running a laptop off battery it would be an even bigger problem.

The tools for diagnosing and reporting this are very poorly (if all)
documented and obscure.
