[Kde-pim] quick search can not see CC header (sorry for posting here, but bko does not work)

This is a bug report, I post it here because I can not post it at 
bugs.kde.org. I used help->report bug, and after submitting, I get the message 
that there is no version 4.8.2 of kmail, and that I should press back and try 
again. There is no field to change the version however, so I gave up fighting 
it.

Now the problem:

Using the quick search line in kmail can not find matches in the CC header, so 
if I have a mail from David Faure sent to himself and CC kde-core-
devel at kde.org, typing "kde-core" in the quick search line does not find that 
mail.

I can not use the advanced search because email indexing is turned off btw. Is 
it intended that if indexing is off, I can not search for mails in a structured 
way?
