Really appreciate knowledgable folks answering Raphael's questions below.
I wonder if we need to put conditional compiles on the SDO version so we
can support building against SDO pre v0.6.5, like:
#if SDO_VERSION > 0.6.0
<use cardinality=1 stuff>
#else
<use cardinality>1 stuff>
#endif
