Sounds a bit like the serializer incompatibility we had serializer loading in 
kdepimlibs got changed and became incompatible with serialiers for earlier 
runtimes.

No idea when this was fixed. Actually I think it got worked around by changing 
older runtime accordinly, but I thought 4.4.10 contained that.
