[Kde-pim] KMail2: some issues

i just upgraded my Gentoo system to KMail2 and have encountered a few
problems. After the initial conversion all my mail seemed to be sent to
account Local Folders with my filters being ignored. I have always used mbox
and sendmail and so tried to set things up as they were before. Now I have my
old ~/Mail folders in an account called Mail, an mbox account called robin
pointing at /var/mail/robin and an account Local Folders which I don't use.
The main problems seem to be:

1. Filters are not applied to incoming mail, I need to do it manually with the
context menu;
2. If I don't use monitoring the mbox account never gets updated with new
mail;
3. If I do use monitoring I get an annoying popup and chime every time the
mail arrives;
4. The mbox never gets emptied, so I keep on getting the same mail.

I am sure there simple solutions to these problems but so far they evade me.

TIA
-Robin
