[Kde-pim] self-signed SSL Certs - Status of Bug 233628?

Hi, due to a mail server not in my responsibility I am also suffering from this 
Bug: 

Bug 233628 - self signed SSL Certificate is not remembered (remember forever 
function) https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=233628

Could anyone tell me about the progress or the problem itself -- can I help 
here? It's a bit annoying, since now (Debian Mint, KDE 4.6.2, Kmail 1.13.6) 
the pop-up comes every time I check mail... Up to some versions ago, kontact 
kept remembering the certificate at least for the session, which was way better 
than now...

The bugtracker doesn't really show what's going on, only many suffering 
people... :-)
