Hi all,
Regarding synchronization: Everyone with an up-to-date (2.2.4) Kolab server
should already be able to do this by installing the test ActiveSync packages
from http://files.kolab.org/incoming/wickert/z-push-testing/.
More information about the status is available at
http://wiki.kolab.org/Z_push
and those who'd like to consider building a native KDE configuration editor can
find the necessary information at
http://wiki.kolab.org/Z_push:Configuration
We've been testing this against and received reports of success with Android,
Maemo/Meego, Symbian, iPhone/iPad, Windows Mobile, as well as BlackBerry with
one of the proprietary ActiveSync clients for the phone.
We know there will be some minor issues left, which is why we'd like to
receive more testing input, ideally provided to
http://kolab.org/mailman/listinfo/kolab-devel
Once we feel sufficiently confident it should work for most people out of the
box, we'll ship it with the 2.3 server release. We expect it this year.
That said I am personally using it productively with my Samsung Galaxy
(Android 2.1) for some time now, and it works perfectly for me. YMMV.
Best regards,
Georg
