Just checked contact and select in Kmail, bot show firstname 
Lastname no commas etc.

Thanks for the response. I have some other answers that suggest its 
a known bug and has been fixed. I updated last weekend so the fixes 
are not in the openSUSE factory repository yet. At least repos show 
no updates available as of several hours ago.
