We don't know if there will be a 4.4.5 yet.  I just started that discussion on the release-team ML.
In any case, it will be up to the packagers to use the most recent kdepim available to them.

I suggest emailing kde-packagers at kde.org with the affected bug number, revision number and filename(s).  Ask them to apply the patch and distribute to their users.
