Can the receive data of a mail be retrieved by the modification time of the
mail file for local maildirs? That wouldn't work for IMAP tough.

Can Akonadi remember when it first saw a mail?

PS: I would like a way that Akonadi can store mail metadata with the mail
file in case the Akonadi database gets corrupted. YAM (Yet Another Mailer)
for Amiga AFAIK stores every flag in the mail file name of each mail.
Akonadi could use extended attributes. It would add to the robustness of
Akonadi when all its metadata can always be recollected from scratch if
need be. (I can file an enhancement request regarding this.)

I have some folders where regular mails have wrong dates. It happens from
time to time if a computer has a wrong system time. Incidentally I have
seen this in the Amiga scene quite a lot. Some machines are quite old and
their CMOS clock battery sometimes is not working properly anymore.
