According to his posting he is using KDE SC 4.4.2. Address
groups/distribution lists were fixed in 4.4.3.
If KMail encounters an email address without domain part then KMail
treats it as a local email address an appends the domain name of the
user's computer which appears to be deedon-desktop. This combined with
non-working distribution list expansion explains the seemingly strange
recipient addresses KMail tries to send the messages to.
