Probably not. I think the use of separate Identities covers any usecase for 
this?

Not really rellevant IMHO, if there is a valid usecase, we could consider if 
it applied to those apps and consider porting it that way.

I don't know much about it from a technical standpoint, just a little about 
uses. It probably is safe to get rid of it if no one can think of a case where 
separate identities wouldn't cover it. Just my $0.02.
