As you are interfacing between two documented APIs, it should be
straightforward. You might want to wait until Kontact with Akonadi is
released, though, so that things don't shift under your feet.

If you are asking about interest, then I am very interested in the
idea. I will always use local mail / calendar / etc (this gmail
account is only for mailing lists) but having access to that info on
the road, via syncing with Google, would be great. I would certainly
help KDE-PIM stand out from the other PIM suites.
