[Kde-pim] kmail scary behaviour

The message counts are cached in ~/.kde4/share/config/kmailrc. Look for 
the section
  [Folder-.<some number>.directory/INBOX]
and remove the lines
  TotalMsgs=...
  UnreadMsgs=...
