[Kde-pim] Request for developer: Extending LDAP resource

Hej,

I have been contacted by a company that wants to use
KAddressBook to manage their contacts in an LDAP directory.

Unfortunately the LDAP resource from KDE3 supports only some
fields of the inetOrgPerson schema and the port to Akonadi
(located in playground/pim/ldap) does not provide more fields.

So that company would be interested in:
  - designing an LDAP schema that covers most of the fields that
KAddressBook supports (I guess that means most of the fields
    defined in vCard 3.0 spec)

  - extending the LDAP resource to support that new LDAP schema

Since I did some refactoring on the attribute handling code during
the port to Akonadi, it shouldn't be a big problem to modify the resource
to support more fields of an extended schema. However personally
I won't have enough time to work fulltime on it.

The company is willing to pay a KDE developer who would work on the
resource, or making a donation to KDE e.V. if the developer would like
to work for free.

So is somebody interested in that task?

I'd be around for helping on the address book specific issues or when
designing the schema, of course :)

Ciao,
Tobias
