I suggest using wikipedia to learn about terms you do not understand:
  http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/SVN (Subversion)
Wikipedia is much more complete than any glossary we write will ever be.

In any case, if you are new to Linux then you probably shouldn't bother 
with SVN. Simply install the version of KDE PIM that's included in your 
distribution. In a few month, when you feel more comfortable with Linux 
then you might want to check out what SVN is about.
