I too am convinced that the clients ISP is blocking sending mail based 
on size.  Both I and another client have machines with Open SuSE 11.0 
installed, we also have different ISP's and can send large Emails 
without issues.

We have advised our client to take the issue up with Virgin who is 
their ISP.

However I will take your advice and install another mail client and 
see if that helps.  I will report back the results.
