FYI: The following was posted to the Fedora users list:

"The new Kontact is nice. I have been using it heavily with 
disconnected IMAP and it has been working very well, actually even 
better than 3.5.x in terms of speed. The only regression I can 
notice is that it does not seem to fetch the passwords from KWallet 
when sending messages, but for receiving messages, it works fine. I 
have not looked at the rest of the PIM applications."
