Ah, probably a misunderstanding here, I was referring to the new
classes (the SignatureConfigurator UI), which needed to get d-pointers 
before the 4.1 release.
Classes like Signature or IdentitityManager were already there in 4.0, so
we can't simply add d-pointers to them. But I like Marc's suggestion of
converting one pointer to a d-pointer and then renaming the other private
variables to dummyN.
