Yes, that's correct. But be aware that Akonadi is not a Groupware
Storage, onyl a Cache...

Adding legacy mode would blow up the Akonadi server unnecessary, so as
it was not our goal to provide a real IMAP storage, but using the
concepts of IMAP in our protocol, it doesn't make sense to be standard
compliant.
