That's the least of it. Recurrences can be very calculation intensive,
depending on how they are specified. Caching is used to help reduce the
processing in repetitive operations, but that won't help when they are
processed the first time after being reloaded.

Perhaps it would be possible to reduce processing on reloading by
comparing the new definition of a resource with the old, and if that
incidence is unchanged simply use the old Incidence. I'm not sure how
feasible that would be.
