I had thought of attempting something similar, but I wasn't sure if that was a 
heretic thought or not. Apparently not :).

Well I will try to, but given the fact that I only have a 1.5 hour experience 
with KMail's code, I don't guarantee anything...

I'll keep you posted, hopefully I'll have something by the end of the week.
