Er, me thinks "MAPI" which, roughly translated, means you 
are out of luck, at least with Kontact.   I think the 
acronym means "MicroSoft Application Proprietary 
Interlock" of something like that :)

Almost every client outside of Outlook uses the httpd or 
imap interface for interfacing with Exchange.  Last I 
checked, so did evolution.  Why?  Because they are at 
least better documented and understood than MAPI.

It might not be the right application, but you may want to 
look at the Toltec connector used by Kolab...

Your best option is to get IMAP turned back on, at least 
if you want to use Kontact.  Also, if you do, I can send 
you a complete how-to.
